RIP Robert Zildijan

And I guess his best customers would have been the Efrems. Senior and Junior.

Oh no! I grew up in Quincy, MA where he was located.

I have one of his company's t-shirts.
The front has Zildjian on it, written in a faux-middle eastern font and the reverse has script in either Turkish or Armenian.

I've worn this shirt on an airplane a couple times and definitely got sneers. I was even asked if "I was one of those Arabs" (emphasis on the A)

Trivia: Zildjian means "son of a cymbal maker".
