Pink Floyd's rock classic was released 40 years ago this week.
It's still awesome after all these years!
Although it held the number one spot in the US for only a week, it remained in the Billboard album chart for 741 weeks.

The album is one day older than The Young and The Restless and the original $10,000 Pyramid, both of which bowed on CBS 40 years ago tomorrow.

The album has in the last year or two come back on the Billboard 200 because older albums can now chart if they sell enough records as a catalog seller.

It couldn't hurt that a remastered version was released a year and a half ago.

The Food Channel show "Cupcake Wars" had a competition to provide snacks in celebration of Y&R's 10,000th episode.

I've been watching the counter. No ideas yet as to what to do to make it special.

Hopefully next year it gets a new thread with a proper headline.
