Suspect arrested in Lauren Burk case was on crime spree

Court hearing today shows Lauren Burk was carjacked. He stole her purse and her Ipod. He drove her around & attempted to rape her. When she tried to escape from him, he shot her. He was caught on a surveillance camera at the convenience store where he bought gas to use to incinerate her car.
He continued on his crime spree and even robbed a woman by pointing a gun point blank at her 3 yr old son while she was putting groceries in her car in a Sam's parking lot in Newnan, Ga. She gave him her purse and he took off. She was able to get his tag number and the surveillance cameras from Sam's had him on tape. This happened at 11AM in broad daylight. Another elderly woman in Newman reported having her purse stolen at gunpoint while she was getting in her car at a shopping center. There were other robberies he was being sought for, but I don't have details on those.
The police departments in Auburn and Georgia knew they were looking for the same guy. Thank God they got him when they did, because who knows what else could have happened otherwise. I don't know if he was strung out on drugs or what.
