Senator Vitter you have a call from Gov. Spitzer

#1 Post by themanintheseersuckersuit » Mon Mar 10, 2008 12:29 pm

Report: NY gov involved in prostitution ring
The New York Times is reporting that Gov. Eliot Spitzer has told senior advisers that he had been involved in a prostitution ring.On its Web site, the newspaper cites an anonymous administration official as the source and says Spitzer was meeting with his top aides. Full story soon.
http://www.cnn.com/
Suitguy is not bitter.

feels he represents the many educated and rational onlookers who believe that the hysterical denouncement of lay scepticism is both unwarranted and counter-productive

The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.

Hmmm... I wonder how many Republicans who stood behind and applauded Sen. Huggies Vitter after his whore problem will also stand behind and applaud Gov. Spitzer.

Nah... they'll call him immoral and demand his resignation.

If the Times story is true, what he did is much more damning than Vitter's alleged, uh, indiscretions.

It'll be interesting to see how this plays on this bored.

Depends on whether the story is true and just how involved Gov. Spitzer was with the pros.

We just do, I mean, those big city politicos are invincible. They think no one will notice, or we'll just, I mean, they will be able to cover it up.

He probably decided it was safer to get involved with the 'tutes after seeing how "romance" doomed Rudy.

As Clark Gable once famously said, "I don't pay them for sex. I pay them to leave in the morning."

"All my life, every time I've ever been around a pretty woman, and somebody has said 'Elliot Spritzer,' I've felt a little guilty for not being more accommodating.

So, the one time when I finally decided to go ahead and do that, they complain. I tell ya ... "

Truth is, I've always thought that he was kind of peculiar.

Foxnews claims Spitzer has been indicted and will resign, just like The NY Times, consider the source

On blog says the ladies in question charged $5,500/ hour

Our Lieutenant Governor is a blind black man.

If the rule is that he takes over.... how cool would that be?
