The snow that fell on Friday and Saturday was beautiful and well-behaved - it didn't drift a lot and the temperatures were warm enough that on Sunday the roads were clear enough to drive anywhere we needed to go. That's the kind of snow I like.
It was well that I didn't go to work on Friday because elwing was ill, so I spent the day taking care of her. That's unusual because she doesn't get sick often (or she hides it very well).

There are scattered trees and branches down around here--including one tree that dented a parked car with one of its branches on my street--but this could have been really bad with a little variation in temperature. It's a good thing the warm spell on Thursday melted the previous storm's accumation of ice before this weekend added to it.

That's so sweet.

I dunno - cooking is not my specialty and when elwing asked for grilled cheese I feared that the smoke detector might go off. However I weathered this challenge and elwing didn't add food poisoning to what ailed her.
