I am about 25% sure of this.

In March 1971 I got the worst haircut I had ever received in my life. Not wanting to get shot, I didn't complain to the barber (I never complain about anything to anyone who is holding a sharp object), but I also did not get another haircut until August 11, 1973, a day that will in infamy forever.

I don't like haircuts.

I would very much like to see a snapshot of the youthful wintergreen-of-the-long-hair.

My mother (who is, I think, one of your mom's sisters) always claimed to be very upset about my flowing locks, but that's just because my hair was much nicer than hers. Durer did a self-portrait in which his hair pretty much looks like my hair looked at that time.

I have gotten bad hair cuts and bad dye jobs - my hair was orange once.

I just figure it's like the weather in the Mid-West - don't like it? Wait a few weeks and it will be better.

I had a free haircut and color that I won in a charity event.

They dyed my hair purple. You couldn't tell in the salon it was purple but you sure could tell in bright light.

I could have shot someone.

I was clerking at a very conservative law firm at the time, a place where purple hair was not an asset.

Fortunately, it was semi-permanent, so I was able to wash it a bunch to get some of the color out. Then I wore my hair in tight braids for the rest of the summer so the color wasn't as obvious--it showed up more at the ends.

It was the last time I have ever dyed my hair. The grays are starting to catch up and I am dreading the inevitable day when I'm going to do the color thing to cover them over. My hair is just more shinier now than it ever was when I was dying it.

Your hair is not getting gray! It's gradually acquiring platinum highlights. Trust me on this.

Men get gray. Women get blonder.

She's absolutely right -- lots of women pay good money to get their hair highlighted. Mine was done for free by Mother Nature & Father Time!
