Two words - "party unity". Even though Bush is hardly the darling of fiscal conservatives, he and McLain making nice can't be a bad thing for the Republicans.PlacentiaSoccerMom wrote:Why does he need Bush's blessing. He's probably better off without it.
Personally, if I were the Democratic nominee, I'd replay the hugging scene over and over again and tie McLain to Bush so tightly that Bush would be an albatross around McLain's neck.
