The cats miss BD, who is seeing FSIL in Vegas this weekend. The black-and-white, barely-removed-from-a-stray one is being more friendly toward us, and slept with us last night, along with the orange beast from my avatar. Both were kittens from mothers saved by a feral cat rescue group, but Mr. Orange is much more domesticated and friendly. Mr. B&W is skinnier and more stand-offish, unless there's the potential of food. We figure his parents had been strays for longer. But he definitely prefers BD to me.
I had a 1 in 5 shot at a Disney cruise this morning, but no additional luck on that. I was lucky in the first place to be the 20th caller earlier in the week in order to qualify. GW and I were kind of hoping for a nice way to relax and unwind post-wedding. Still, I get $106 bucks out of the deal, so that's not too bad.
One of my eBay auctions is going to pay for a lot more wedding dinners. Some original comic art by an artist I like, and who apparently has become popular again. My eyes bug out whenever I look at the current bid. The really good news here is that I have three other pages from the same artist, and the one currently up for bid isn't even the best one.
We hope BD is having some serious discussions with FSIL, in between their other recreational activities. Number one on the list is finding a chaplain for the ceremony. BD really doesn't want a JP, and when you don't belong to any temple, church, or other house of worship (or even if you do, with a mixed religion marriage), it's not easy to find someone else to perform an ecumenical-style ceremony. Another subject is the money thing. I don't know if a prenup is really necessary, since the dollar amounts involved aren't that large. My understanding, though, is that there may be a potentially large attitude difference between the two. That can be a problem that they should try to ward off early. Like now.
