I have a friend that loved Elvis so much she got out of teaching and opened a shop that sold everything Elvis. Unfortunately for her, everyone doesn't share her level of devotion and the shop closed a year later.

I know she would love the robot Elvis.
I felt the change

Time meant nothing and never would again

I read yesterday that Sharper Image is going out of business. Brookstone wants to inherit their customers, so they are offering a 25% discount when presented with SI gift cards, which, apparently, are no longer being honored.

The article also discussed how gift cards can become worthless after certain types of bankruptcy proceedings. Has to do with how outstanding cards are classified on the company's books.

SWMBO said these were on display at the Graceland shops when she went down for Death Week last August. She also said they were hilariously bad, but they did keep the shop personnel entertained at down times.

I wish that there was a Leftorium near us. I need some left-handed chopsticks for Maddie. ;)

Actually, you have already almost exceeded your yearly posting average in the first 2+months of this year, so you may get to 4 digits as soon as 2028 or so....

One of my brothers has an Elvis party every year. He and his wife love Elvis. I year I made Elvis santas for my Christmas tree because that was my theme that year, and I donated them all of them to them.

I might have to get this as a present to them. They would be over the moon about it. They have a Elvis shrine in their living room.

I saw one of these things in action during the Christmas shopping season.

It reminded me of the scene in Alien where Ash (the android) gets his head and shoulders knocked off, but continues to speak. Most unsettling, to say the least!
