I forgot to mention it last night, but this is the first piece of artwork I ever managed to draw on my laptop with the "fast mouse" that seemed to be too quick to manage the Paint cursor. Not as smooth as something I'd have drawn on this computer, but it would pass for my quality standards. I guess if this desktop mouse ever gave up on me, I might not have to retire ES after all....

I have decided to end the 2012 ES Avatar season today so I can prepare my list before the honorables go up on Sunday morning....

Of the 117 avatars of 2012, my first cut has pared the list down to 41..... my most ever to survive the first round (and I passed over several I really hated to). Of those 6 will have to go to come up with the official list of finalists, and then of that list, only 20 will get an official spot in the countdown...

Me and Sprots were somewhat on the same page last year, but she may be alarmed to know that of her Lucky 13, only 7 of them made even my first cut.....

The anticipation builds....
