Clarence may have been the smartest person in my green room. He was sharp as hell.

But then, around lunchtime, out came the dry erase board for the obligatory round of Pictionary. And Clarence didn't want to get up and draw. "What's the matter?" I teased. "Don't like playing games in front of people?"

That was prescient. Clarence seemed really nervous playing the game and couldn't get in the groove of it. It's too bad for a number of reasons, but chief amongst them that his head is legitimately knowledge-packed enough he'd have had a good shot at a six-figure payday.

His "hook" was that he still gets up between 2 and 2:30AM each day, reads 40 online newspapers, and then watches the sun rise. He joked that it was lunchtime for him.

I'd like to know where this would have fallen in the unrandomized stack. I thought it might be coffee, but would have used a JTQ.

If you legitimately didn't know this one, the audience would have given you 90+% for popping. It's that widely known.

Really? Even across the generational spectrum of a typical SyndieBAM audience?

I wear polos, but always keep the collars turned down. Get off my lawn, kid!

I guess I can't promise 90%, but yes, the number would have been overwhelming.

The collar on my sportcoat was once "popped" by mistake for entire show. At the end, when I realized it, I asked the dad who'd hired me if he'd noticed. He thought I'd done it on purpose.
