It's a beautiful morning!

Sunshine is sparkling on the coating of ice we have on the trees from Tuesday night's freezing rain. It's supposed to go up to 42 today, so that ice should be melting soon.

Meanwhile, the tiniest corner of the pond outside the office is clear of ice and half a dozen geese are taking the opportunity for a swim. :)

Sounds really pretty Marley.

Today is a lab clean-up day so the view around here should be improving.

Not here. We have really thick fog. It's going to be a pain in the ass to drive Maddie to school.

The 6 inches of snow we got Tuesday has already almost all melted. It's been a while since we've had a snow that's actually stuck around....

We got 7 inches the day after I got called back for WWTBAM in December 2000, and it was still covering the ground when I got back from New York 5 weeks later....

Mild temps here and beautiful light clouds in the sky.

Wonder when the babies will start poking through the soil.

We're in for a relatively nice day today but tomorrow and Saturday, not so much. There's a "winter storm advisory" issued for both days. Starting tonight we're supposed to get snow and sleet, with accumulations of 2" expected tomorrow and more on Saturday. That doesn't sound like much to most of you, I know, but it positively throws the local drivers into a tizzy.

It sounds like it's raining in the woods, with all the ice falling off the trees. 8)

It is sunny and 63 here. Ahhhh...

I am just itching to get some impatiens planted but there are none in the stores yet.

I want to plant spring flowers.

Now, I tell you!!
