I haven't said much about my oldest son and the problems he has been having; in a nutshell he and his girlfriend broke up and there has been some running dispute about custody of their son (my grandson). Yesterday all of that was resolved legally - my son will have primary custodial responsibilities and the mother will be able to have visitation whenever she wishes. This is good news - my son was concerned about losing his son even though the mother wouldn't be a good parent.

I'm sorry to hear about their problems, ear, but kudos to your son for stepping up for full custody.
And your grandson is only an infant, right?

Have you been involved so far in raising your grandson? Do you think that you will need to be in the future?
It is good that the two of them will have that support system.

Just over three months old, born the day before Thanksgiving last year.

I believe so, though the extent of the involvement has yet to be seen. Our church has been very supportive also.

It's really quite an involved tale. I'm just glad that things have settled down and we have the law on our side if anything goes wrong in the future.

O.K. For some reason, I thought that the child was older, such as between 1 and 2 years-old.
