I was waiting for someone else to start but, OK, I'll start. I found this to be a very predictable and "safe" night for the girls. I only heard one performer that took the chance and did something different with the number she sang.
And that, was Brooke. And, the funny thing about her performance was that, when Lady G and I saw Pat Benatar in Vegas she also did this song "unplugged." I liked Brooke's version as well. I could not imagine her doing the "plugged" version. I think that would have more suited for Carly.
The other performances were OK but they brought nothing new to the songs they did with the slight exception of Christy and Ramiele. Amanda was OK but again, nothing new was brought out by her performance. As Syesha was ready to come on I said to Lady G "watch, she will either do a Whitney or Vanessa Williams song." Duh! I think she could have done a real nice rendition of Fame if she had tried it.
The other performances were, for me, forgettable.
My picks for leaving tomorrow are Asiah and Kady.
