McAfee Founder Says Belize Framing Him For Murder

#1 Post by Bob Juch » Tue Nov 13, 2012 10:56 am

Pioneering antivirus developer John McAfee is now a prime suspect in a murder investigation in Belize, where he remains at large.

Police said that the body of McAfee's 52-year-old neighbor, U.S. national Gregory Viant Faull, was discovered Sunday in San Pedro Town, located on the Belize island of Ambergris Caye. "His housekeeper ... arrived at Mr. Faull's home where she found him in a motionless state lying in a pool of blood," said Belizean police press officer Raphael Martinez, reported 7 News Belize. "The police were called and the scene was processed -- where one 9mm expended shell was recovered. The body has an apparent gunshot wound to the back of the head." Police said Faull's laptop and iPhone were missing.

I met John McAfee something like 20 years ago. I though he was pretty crazy back then. I have no idea if he did murder his neighbor but wouldn't be surprised if he did.

I wonder if this is a good time to pitch my new idea for a reality series, Belize's Most Wanted, hosted by me.

Two Belize references in two days on this Bored, neither brought up by me. That must be some sort of record.

I thought this was some Onion spoof at first. Obviously, it's a legit CNN webpage. Maybe he thinks if he runs for POTUS that he can pardon himself? Or declare diplomatic immunity against extradition to Belize?

If he does win, I somehow doubt we'll see any state visits to Belize.

Since Mrs. SSS and I are honorary citizens of Belize, I can offer my legal services to him at a very reasonable rate to smooth over any difficulties he may have with the Belizean government. Who knows, if I impress him, I might wind up as Attorney General. Or on the Supreme Court.
