I remember learning this about a million years ago, but where? Nevermind, I'm 100% confident. High tide, because the blowholes don't pinpoint where they are.

The Sea of Galilee is also called Lake Tiberias. In Hebrew, it's Yam Kinneret, the harp-shaped sea.

I can't say I'm surprised at both Brandon's need for a lifeline and the audience's lackluster responses.

"Stanley Cup" is a wicked distractor.

No, he isn't.

I suppose he chose B because it rhymed. But, as Meredith pointed out afterward, the reason why "at high tide" was the right answer was because it's hard to dig for clams then.

I didn't realize why Brandon chose what he did on the last question until later... I hadn't even considered the rhyme. Which made that sort of a distractor, but what the hell was he doing diving headfirst into a $50,000 wild-ass guess?

The point (for me) of participating in these threads is to do so
without doing research. So if, as in this case, my memory is off, my error is on display for the world (or our little corner of it) to see. --Bob

He risked a bit less than $30,000 to gain (a) a bit more than $30,000, and (b) the opportunity to see the $100,000 question. It's a pretty reasonable gamble if you think you have a clue. Of course, I do wish he'd taken a little more time to consider all of the possible answers, but it seemed like he was pretty locked into his choice. --Bob
