Nice touch - let's hope it works.

You'd think she would have heard of "Madison Avenue" in association with advertising. Doesn't she watch "Mad Men"?

If I were Megan I might demand to be brought back and given the lifeline she wasted on this question due to Meredith's interference. I know she was joking with Megan, but her comment about putting her arm in a microwave, even though balanced by her later comment, might have thrown Megan off. Where's Phil Luckett when you need him? "Contestant interference - 15 yard penalty!"

Megan (pronounced Mee-gan)
This is news to me. We called her Meh-gan all day long.
is wearing what looks like a baseball cap adorned with a sticker that reads "Thinking Cap" and colored pipe cleaners that have little balls at one end. It was a gift from her students at a surprise party for her.
I'm so glad they let her wear this, there was some issue about it being a copyright of her kids or something.

Megan was the last contestant to be called my first taping day, and by then we were all EXHAUSTED from sitting around, so I was a little worried for her (and, really, anybody else called at that point, including me) to be called and not be completely mentally focused.

Since this COULD have been my stack, I guess it would be fun to play along.

Took me a few seconds to see the Madison Avenue/Mad Men connection.

Hmm, these are all Beyonce songs, but I haven't heard of any of them being on VapidH1. Ask the audience, I'm sure they'll know it (including my sister, her friend, and my Beyonce/Gaga obsessed other friend).
Question #3 (Zap)

I'm HOPING I wouldn't be too tired to see the easy connection between "dry" and "sweaty" and not overthink it, so I think we are good here.

Question #4 (Moon Shot)
A 1979 photo taken of Jupiter's moon, Io, showed for the first time what natural event occurring on a celestial body other than Earth?
A - tornado
B - snow storm
C - volcanic eruption
D - lightning storm

Megan is going to have to jump this question.
Spoiler
Answer: C (volcanic eruption)
Value: $1,000
Bank: $13,000
Hmm, "first time" would indicate to me something that you'd not normally associate with celestial occurrences. I ruled out volcanic eruption immediately since aren't there some volcanoes on Mars? I also ruled out snow storm because of the colder planets. Nothing is really sticking out at me, though, so I think I'll JTQ.
Question #5 (Keeping Current)
Prompting the headline "Mona Lisa meets Mario," what museum began using Nintendo 3DS consoles as interactive audio guides in 2012?

Next.
Question #6 (Radio Gaffes)

"For some reason my gut just went to

Spoiler
Answer: B (Russia)

This is tricky. I think Libya is fresh on my mind from all the recent goings-on, but hopefully I'd be lucid enough to recognize that only one of these would have made enough sense for a joke.

So I'm going for question 7 with either 1 or 0 JTQs and $19,100 in the bank.

Glad Megan came away with some money and had a great time! Here's a sweet article on a viewing party at her school.
