I am weary this morning. I went to a handbell festival on Friday night and Saturday, which involved hours of standing on hard concrete rehearsing and then playing a concert. On Sunday it was digging in the yard so that elwing could put some cement blocks alongside our driveway, where people who backed out managed to miss and dig trenches. My back hurts, as does my right wrist (too many martillatos with the handbells).
And of course today starts the post-Procurement Assistant regime; the woman who took the job has no idea how to do any of the things that the previous PA did as my backup.

Look at the training as the first part of your own retirement. When you leave, you want them to be in capable hands, right?
I always look at training someone as an investment. Put some effort into it now, and there will be much less effort on your part later on.

I agree. However some of the training involves the new person attending a class offsite and given that she is still taking care of some of the duties from her previous position she isn't in a good place to be sent TDY for a week. I can show her some of the stuff, but in order to be an "authorized caller" to the help desk she has to have the vendor-sponsored training.

I wonder how your day would be if you said you were energized.

He'd feel like a pink bunny.

Maybe he'd feel like he did when he was the pink hippo.
