Boonie Update

The boonie man is doing quite well after surgery.

He has follow-ups with the orthopedic doc & neurosurgeon on Thursday.

It's the second post-op with the neurosurgeon. Apprently, Boonie's C5 nerve on his left side is aggravated and isn't helping the deltoid much. It wasn't that way when he left the hospital on Sunday

Boonie had a CT scan today to make sure that's all it is.

(I commented that if Iwere a C5 nerve, I would be quite aggravated by being prodded and tossed about for 10 hours. Niehter Boonie nor Dr. A, the neurosurgeon, seemed to buy that).

His spirits are pretty good. When his meds kick in, he still makes funny comments about things - his take on the Oscar dresses was wonderful and made me wish I'd taped it.

We are in the midst of clearing out TLAF's house, letting my contractor cousin go nuts with it before my realtor cousin puts it on the market. We have a couple (3 actually) of interested parties, which is good.

Today, he supervised as I cleaned out. As a loyal union man, he doesn't like being a supervisor. :D

He thanks everyone for the good wishes.

I'm glad he's going well.

Did he say anything about the pregnant actresses looking like eggplants in their purple dresses?

I'm glad he's doing mostly well.

I cracked up when Jon Stewart said during the breaks, they stand around and make fun of what we are wearing at home.

Hurray for the good news, and here's hoping that pesky C5 will relax into a state of dignity and self-control very quickly. I hate it when egotistical nerves start yelling "Me, me, me."

For therapy, I recommend the application of a warm cat to the patient's lap. I believe that Denise can provide precisely the right therapeutical dosage.

Hoping the road to recovery gets much less bumpy soon!

In the meantime, good thoughts and wishes to Boonie!
