I can't remember, and I'm not asking the audience because it never looks like it's full of high school juniors, or juniors and seniors for that matter. Or college students, who might remember this obscure fact. Anyway, JTQ.

How would you get this if you didn't know it? JTQ

I'm doomed -- already used both JTQs, and they were on the two highest value Qs.

My guess is that sea turtles are the most famous of that bunch for leaving an area for leaving their place of birth for a long time only to come back later to lay eggs and continue the cycle? I'd say borderline WWOQ.

Valerie was a fellow carryover from tape day 1 with me, and the only one of us four carryovers that didn't get to play before lunch. Looks like the fates smiled on her by having her air before me! Lovely, huh-larious lady, glad to see she got herself a nice little payday for her and her also very nice husband.
In this town, don't we love it now, everbody's waiting for the next surprise!

That's right -- all I had to do was think of Finding Nemo and Crush.

No idea?? Couldn't she see "frigid" and equate that with "freeze"? I guess Valerie had a brain freeze.

Did this change? I thought I remembered the test taking 4 hours when I took it back in the day. I'd be using a JTQ on this one.

I don't recall how long it took BITD, but the test definitely has changed since then. Now there's an essay making up a third part of the test (and inflating a perfect score up to 2400).

I had heard that, and so it would seem that they would give students more time. I guess I'm misremembering how long I was given to take it.

Wikipedia's entry on the SAT includes a section on the history of the test. This paragraph should cover the relevant time period for us old-timers.
1946 test and associated changes

Paragraph reading was eliminated from the verbal portion of the SAT in 1946, and replaced with reading comprehension, and "double definition" questions were replaced with sentence completions. Between 1946 and 1957 students were given 90 to 100 minutes to complete 107 to 170 verbal questions. Starting in 1958 time limits became more stable, and for 17 years, until 1975, students had 75 minutes to answer 90 questions. In 1959 questions on data sufficiency were introduced to the mathematics section, and then replaced with quantitative comparisons in 1974. In 1974 both verbal and math sections were reduced from 75 minutes to 60 minutes each, with changes in test composition compensating for the decreased time.
Sounds like the four hours it took you was a "walking ten miles back and forth to school, uphill, both ways" type of thing.
