I don't sweat this stuff so much.

The market goes down. The market goes up. The market plunges. The market soars. Rinse and repeat.

I got to tell my sister I won the Powerball.

Then I had to admit that just the Powerball paid all of three bucks.

I hope I didn't wash my Levi's, come to think of it! The ticket's in my back pocket....

If people would stop living off their credit cards and if people would stop buying homes they can't afford and if people would be more responsible about money, then the stock market would still do what it does and they would blame something else.

I am glad I own stock in the Euro.

How do you own stock in the Euro? How is that different from Euro futures or actual Euros?

I don't know the answer to this. I have hired someone who does. I don't know the distinctions. I may have used the wrong word.

I have Euro Currency Trust FXE.

Essentially, what you have is an ETF (Exchange-Traded Fund) that's equivalent to a money market fund denominated in Euros (minus the fund expenses). As long as the Euro is rising compared to the dollar, you'll do well.

Our investments are for the long term. I prefer to think of it as "buying low."

I am a bad investor.

I am not interested in being educated about it all.

I am interested in paying someone to make sure I make money.

It has worked fine so far.

If I get in trouble with this way of being about it - then I will educate myself.

That's fine, as long as they're not more interested in making sure they make money.

The great thing I got going on is that my guy is also a friend. I get to yell at him and not fire him. I get to yell at him and he doesn't fire me. He gets to yell at me and I don't fire him.

It all works fine.

Also - I have insurance policies with him and other stuff, so he makes whatever he makes off of all of those things.

I trust the guy.
