February 29 QoD -- "Don't Forget the Lyrics!"
Rules: viewtopic.php?p=40443#40443
With two karaoke game shows on TV now, it’s only fair that we play the Bored version of karaoke. Rickey Minor and the band will be playing songs from a variety of decades and genres. Once the band stops and the words disappear from the screen, you’ll have to complete the lyrics. Just like on both shows, the lyrics have to be exact to get credit. The first 15 songs will have between 3-6 words missing. The bonus song will have significantly more words missing, but will be worth 5 points.
Warm up those singing voices... and let’s play!
Answers are due by Monday at 5 PM Eastern.

Too bad it wasn't songs from last night's show, because I watched it. The contestants are always annoying, but I watch for the sexiness that is Wayne Brady.
That said, I'm horrible at the game because I'm a walking mondegreen. I hope there are points for are least trying to make them rhyme. Ha!

That's the only one I know, Mr. Nelly. Sometimes people have trouble understanding me because I speak English with an accent. It works the other way, too. I often have trouble figuring out what words two-footers are singing. I don't know why it's harder to figure out singing than speaking, but it just is. With my opera, I already know what the words are, so that's not so bad.NellyLunatic1980 wrote:

OK - I've been having a ball with LS for the past two months, so might as well give this a shot.
1. send you back to Arkansas
2. wear your ring
3. get back in the race
4. drink her off my mind
5. a sunny day
6. keeping all my secrets safe tonight
7. the traffic starts jumpin'
8.
9.
10.
11.
12.
13.
14.
15.
Bonus: he always breaks my heart in two, it happens every time
Seeing the dates listed made me realize that I am clueless on most music since 1984. That's the year Darling Daughter was born. Evidently I became old that year, and stopped listening to new music! The exceptions are songs used in my post-baby aerobics classes.
