Yesterday there was an article in our local newspaper about a woman who lives in Bardstown, KY (just a few miles down the road) who is a "Disney World mom". There's a Web site where people can go and ask questions about visiting the park - anything from how to handle breastfeeding to how to do the parks on a budget. Evidently there is a panel of moms, chosen by Disney from applications submitted, who tackle the questions and post their replies. Although it seems primarily intended for parents with children (small ones in particular) it doesn't appear that it's restricted to that demographic.

Huh. My next door neighbor, who my family and I consider to be one of the all-time nicest people on the planet, is originally from Bardstown. His 96 year old mother and several members of his extended family are still there. He regularly regales me with stories of the interesting historical background of Bardstown as an early and remote Catholic enclave, even having its own bishop at one point, I understand.

Indeed. The diocese of Bardstown was one of the earliest west of the Appalachian mountains. It was eventualy subsumed under Louisville when that city outstripped Bardstown in population.
