My travel perils

I don't what is about me that causes them, but they're always lurking somewhere.

It really started last Wednesday night before I was to leave my house at 7:30AM Thursday when I lost a filling in my tooth. Too late to do anything and leaving too early the next day to see my dentist. Thankfully, there is no nerve exposed, so I have no pain and am just being very careful with what I eat. Made an appointment with my dentist for when I return home THIS Thursday.

Yesterday, the last leg of my trip was St Louis to Louisville. The flight was going to be delayed about 40 minutes, so I was getting my cell phone out to call and let those waiting know about it. I dropped the phone on the hard surface floor and, of course, it is no longer working. I went to the pay phone and figured out how to make a credit card call. OK fine.

We board the plane and are sitting on the runway ready to take off when an older lady has a coughing attack and wants off the plane. So we go back to the gate. Not only do we have to let her off the plane but her luggage must also be located and removed as well.

To make a long story short, I got here after midnight. Cell phone is not receiving calls, but apparently is calling everyone in my phonebook in alphabetical order. So, if you got a call from me with no message, please ignore it and I apologize.

I hope to get a new one when I get home on Thursday.

Dearie, get yourself a nice comfy chair, in a corner, tell certain people to stuff it for a bit, some munchies, a gallon of something inebriative (is that a good word or what?) and veg out.

Geez, my flight was early. I am so sorry bout your travails.

Goodness, kay, that sounds like you have had your fill of troubles.

I thought that Princess Peanut had a bad day.

On Saturday, while at dance:

- she had a cold cup of coffee (thankfully not that full) spilled onto her head;

- she got kicked in her face by an older girl doing an acrobatic move.

- she received her judge's notes from the last competition.

You might be able to find another phone on eBay. That's where I got a replacement for Emma's phone. It was "gently used."

Stop booking your trips through "Murphy's Law Travel Agency".

Well, judging from the report of the "Fab Four" get-together, I trust you find the aggrivation worth it in the long run..

Kay, you had the luck I expect around this date (2/24, the anniversary of my grandma's death and some other things). I stayed away from ladders, mirrors, etc.

I even dared to fly out of LGA today (2/25) and no incidents, only a 20 minute delay (that is like nothing for LGA)

I was able to get a cheap replacement for my dad's cell phone on eBay. He is T-Mobile. Might be different with my service Verizon as the phone is programmed remotely.
