From my recliner I guessed correctly (I've seen The Colbert Report occasionally but not enough to even recall the theme song) but at the Hot Podium I also would have used ATA figuring they would know it, then JTQ when the results came in.

This WWOQ was way too obscure to hope for help from the audience. Even if you were intimately familiar with the musical styles of each of these bands (which I'm not) could you identity the Colbert Report theme as belonging to that style? It's just a standard (if deliberately pompous) TV news/commentary instrumental, right?

Did Cheap Trick do the graphics, including the eagle flying and Colbert leaping with the flag, too? 8)

I just went and listened to it on YouTube. Given the four choices, it had to be Cheap Trick, though as you may have guessed, I am familiar with the styles of all four bands.... :P :P :P

I happened to remember seeing it in the credits - other than that, not sure I would've guessed with confidence.

1.  Paramount Pictures is the only one with a mountain in its' logo.2. Entomologists study insects. D, final answer.3. I use my first JTQ here.
4. Cheasapeake Bay is in Maryland. Easy geography.
5. Easy. Pearl Harbor is in Hawaii.
6. another easy one.
7. I don't know. If the ATA results are as iffy as they were for this lady, I'd do the same thing she did and JTQ.
8. C-sarcasm, final answer.

So I'm also out of lifelines. We'll see what happens in the next transcript.
