In the version of Candy Land that was out around the time me and my sisters were growing up, the space immediately following the end of the Gumdrop Pass is a "stuck" spot.... noted as the "Gooey Gumdrops". The correct answer is indeed "obvious", but I may as well represent for our Bored nitpickers since I doubt any of them grew up playing Candy Land....

I remember Candy Land from my childhood, too, beast. That was some time before the '80s.

The image you posted is a bit fuzzy, but there is a spot clearly saying "Stuck in Molasses Swamp." Gooey Gumdrops is clearly beyond the end of the Gumdrop Pass, so there's no nit to pick, IMHO.

On a more serious (ha) note though, I think there is since there are three "stuck" spots in the game, and one of them just also happens to be in the gumdrop zone on the board. The Molasses Swamp spot may be the only one that actually says "stuck", but you're effectively still stuck in either of the other spots with a black circle...

I also think if you stepped in a gooey gumdrop, you'd have as hard a time getting anywhere as if you stepped in a pool of molasses...
