Pretty easy if you consider when the debut of each magazine was. I knew Mia Farrow was on the cover of the first People. I didn't know about Solzhenitsyn, but he is also mentioned on the cover.

Despite that previous question, I haven't memorized the first covers of magazines, particularly not the text of featured articles that accompanies the feature photo.

So, without Googling it, do you know when Cosmo and Redbook debuted? I don't.

When James Perri applied and took the test to be on the show, that was it. He didn't hear from the producers of "Who Wants to be a Millionaire", until more than a year later.
Surely, they sent him a Happy Card?
James has beat a very rare type of brain tumor not only once, but twice.

His wife Nancy helped set up a foundation to help others who've also battled the rare tumor type. Oligocure.org is a non-profit set up to fund research into the disease. Monday night, the episode aired where James won $15,800 to go to the cause.

I couldn't give you an exact date, but I'm confident they both existed decades before anyone in the U.S. ever heard of Solzhenitsyn.

I guess the "front side" is "heads". I wouldn't have thought that. I thought the "obverse" was the decorative side and the "reverse" was the portrait side.

James made a joke about how Redbook would be appropriate given Solzhenitsyn's country of origin. As for me I guessed correctly but at the Hot Podium I'd have used a JTQ.

Are you saying all of our dead Presidents on US coins have their heads up their ass?

I'd never equate front side with anything other than "heads", but then again, I've always had this problem with cars. When I was a kid, I'd think of cars from the perspective of standing behind them, so I always called the rear end the front, and the front end the rear.... and still do on occasion when I'm not thinking....

Well, elephants have their trunks in front, why not cars? VW bugs must have been really confusing.
