Wikipedia says that epithalanium's roots are:
(Latin form of Greek ἐπιθαλάμιον epithalamion from ἐπί epi "upon," and θάλαμος thalamos nuptial chamber)
I'm not familiar with any other word with the thalamos root.

Not that I knew all of this until two minutes ago, but Gr. Thalamos for bedroom or inner chamber, is latinized at Thalamus, with similar meaning, and which word is "aptly" used for the hard to get to inner structure of the brain.

One of the suggested origins of the Song of Solomon was that it was written as one of these poems, which is how I heard the term.
