It's a shame he took the chance - given that there's been a lot in the press about this issue. FTR the reason is because incandescent light bulbs are energy-wasters.

It's a shame he missed the news reports and eliminated the right answer. As for all those other choices, I presume if they had used lead paint or a now-prohibited food color or cake mix ingredient, they could come up with a safe replacement. Low-power CFL or LED lights are a poor replacement for an incandescent heat source, alas!
