It took almost three hours to get home yesterday after the early dismissal - the buses were running behind, not surprisingly, because of traffic plus the need to get students home (many local students ride public transportation rather than school buses). Of course that also meant that the buses were crowded. As it turned out, though, I managed to get home before elwing did - although her office closed down early she had to contend with a lot more traffic than I did. More ice fell overnight, but temperatures were above freezing as of 6AM so the roads weren't too bad.

We won't get ice, I hope, but it's already started snowing in MA and NH. As the forecasts got closer, the time of onset got earlier and earlier, and the stopping time later and later. Now they're guessing the complete snow stoppage will be sometime tomorrow AM. I am SO looking forward to my commute home tonight.
And both my women are ill now. GW is miserable with what we hope is just a very bad cold. No fever, but pounding head, stuffed sinuses, sore throat, scratchy eyes (probably conjuntivitis from BD), etc. BD got some drugs yesterday for her infirmities, so we hope she will be well by the time Monday rolls around. I suspect GW will be brought to the doctor tomorrow.
Aside from that, we're fine.

They say we'll get one to three inches, but it's only been a light dusting so far. Heavier accumulations are going to our south. And it's cold enough that it's all snow and none of that mixed precipitation stuff, which makes this much easier to deal with.

We have three inches here now with about an inch more falling each hour. At least there's no ice - yet.

It rained all night last night.
I can't believe how much it has rained this year.

There is nothing so beautiful in nature as a single snowflake.
BUT THEY NEVER COME THAT WAY!

Can you get up your driveway? Or do you care?

I am already up my driveway, so I do not care if I can or not.
I have no intention of leaving today or tomorrow until Sting opens us up.
It is so thick I can not see down the hill to the first green.
It is so beautiful.

I am at work, but it is only a 5 minute drive. It may take a little longer to get home though.
About 4-5 inches and still snowing.

I've got semi-carp weather. On and off rain, not the steady dumping we've been getting....

Hey! Is this the Weather Channel? If it is, where's the report from Oklahoma?

No precipitation at all in Oklahoma, which means that the festivities should be proceeding nicely!

We're here and the air is clear! BB and Kay each arrived yesterday on delayed flights. Nancy drives over late this afternoon after school.
If we need bail money later, we'll let you know.
