OK, she's a J! champ. We know you have to be smart to get on THAT show.
Now on to the stack:
1. I guess she forgot that the Treaty of Versailles ended World War I and Wilson was against signing it (and joining the League of Nations-how could a J! champ not know this?)
2. easy.
3. easy.
4. If you know anything about pop culture, this is an easy one, Carrie Underwood is the only country singer listed.
5. Leeches and bloodletting were used way back in the 1800's. Homeopathy is more recent, so it has to be C, lobotomy. She looked like she'd just gotten one judging from her reaction. Oh well, so much for being a J! genius.

What exactly is the qualification for membership in the “Jeopardy!” Hall of Fame?

Homeopathy isn't recent, Kazoo, but it is "alternative medicine".
And what do we call alternative medicine which is well-supported by scientific evidence, such as might win someone a Nobel Prize?
Medicine.

Here's a short article about Rebecca's appearance.

Vancouver native Rebecca Dixon appeared Monday on “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire,” but the show was not aired at 12:30 p.m. because of an advertising commitment, a station official said.
KGW said the show might be broadcast later.
An "advertising commitment"?

I hope Rebecca wasn't planning a viewing party.

After her performance I expect she wasn't.

So what did she do to earn this distinction?

I'd have gone for it, given that in the unrandomized stack this was the $2K question. I presume this isn't the same treaty that ended World War I.

Homeopathy isn't likely to attract the attention of the Nobel committee considering many people consider it to be quackery. "Leeches" and "bloodletting" are much older practices, so that leaves "lobotomy" as the right answer.

That was my same reaction, ear, but amazingly enough, it
is the same treaty!

But there's more to the story that makes the trademark situation more complicated than stated in the question. The international trademark for champagne was first protected in the Treaty of Madrid (1891) and then
reaffirmed in the Treaty of Versailles. Now I guess US producers had the loophole that we hadn't ratified the 1891 treaty, either, but
now we have.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Treaty_of_ ... %281891%29
Two significant recent developments in international trade mark law were the accession of the United States and the European Union to the Madrid Protocol on 2 November 2003 and 1 October 2004, respectively. With the addition of these jurisdictions to the Protocol, most major trading jurisdictions have joined the Madrid system.
So what's the current US practice?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Champagne_%28wine%29
The United States acknowledges the near-exclusive nature of the "champagne" term (cf. following sentence) and bans the use from all new US produced wines.[2] Only those that had approval to use the term on labels before 2006 may continue to use it and only when it is accompanied by the wine's actual origin (e.g. California).[2]
Complicated. And murky. And a WWOQ.

Nice to see I'm still at the very bottom of that list. I suspect I always will be.
