Those of you who know science fiction are probably familiar with Spider Robinson. He lost his wife to cancer a little less than two years ago, and was really just starting to recover from the loss. On November 21, on a visit to his daughter, Terri Luanna, his son-in-law, and his two-year-old grandchild,
he learned that Terri Luanna has been diagnosed with Stage IV metastatic breast cancer.
Sometimes life chooses, for reasons unknown, to dump on one of the good ones. This is one of those times. --Bob

Never heard of him, but saying this sucks hardly describes this.
Thoughts and prayers to the family.

Crap. My heart goes out to him and the family. God is, indeed, an iron, as Spider wrote many years ago.

Hope he's right about shared pain and shared joy. And that he finds plenty of people to share his pain with.

As reported on her
http://gracefulwomanwarrior.com blog, Spider's daughter, Terri Luanna, entered hospice care approximately a week ago. --Bob

I find Spider Robinson's writing obnoxious for reasons I went into in depth back on rec.arts.sf or whatever it was called back in the good old pre-web internet days.
I also don't think anyone should die of cancer, & about that my heart goes out to the family.
