I'd wager that if this guy had worked out the Scooby Doo question, the audience would have given him the right answer on the president question. Also, I'd swear I saw this president question somewhere last night at work, but I can't for the life of me work out where.

I think it derives from "mollusks or Mollusca," not "mal."

I could eliminate mushrooms because they are myconids. My guess was seashells.

I associate Adams with Boston and Madison and Jefferson with Virginia. That only leaves Washington.
