Dang! I knew Vanderbilt was a railroad man. I didn't know Stanford was one, too. $1K isn't going to buy much of an animatronic dinosaur.

After the reveal, Meredith said something about "golden spike" being the big clue, because Stanford came from the Golden State of California. I think the spike was gold because of the significance of the event, not because the president of the Central Pacific Railroad happened to be from California, Mere.

I'm stunned the audience response was so low. I thought the whole "Activate!" fist thing was more iconic than that.

Just an oddity of typefaces as they show up on my screen, but when the transcribers are noting that the dollar value of a question was not revealed, they usually write it as

Value: $not revealed

but when I look at it on my screen, it looks like it says

Value: Snot revealed

and I get an awful, awful image of what must have happened...

I do that on purpose. The template I use has the $ signs already in there. I didn't do this transcript, but I think the person who gave me the template did.

I wish that I could access my DVR here at work. On slow nights like tonight, I'd be caught up transcribing those Wednesday shows in no time.
