Poor Richard's Almanack was full of financial advice!

As for the question, I remembered this trivia from somewhere. Franklin was born in Boston and moved to Philadelphia as a young man. Hamilton is associated with New York and Washington and Jefferson were Virginians, so their charity would have been sent in those directions.
