The show was recorded in New York about three months ago but Hemingway was sworn to secrecy by the producers until after the air date.

"They didn't even tell Grandma," Natalie Hemingway said.

Despite his early exit, the experience was largely positive for her grandson, she said. "He enjoyed the experience and so did his parents who traveled down with him. It was something different and I had everybody I know watching it."

Interesting reporting style, with no quotations from Steven but one from his grandma!

I didn't get enough to say that from those three questions, although Mammoth Cave must be common knowledge. Maybe the other two are more well-known than I think. I already miss the unrandomized stack.

Seems a bit deceptive if not incorrect the way the Q is written. To the best of my knowledge Mammoth Cave is not named after the animal known as a Mammoth. Mammoth fossils were not found there as far as I know. The origin of the word appears to be Tartar/Russian for earth. I would guess the name was given for the secondary definition of something of great size which I suppose does come from its association with the Mammoth animal.

Still, it seems a bit round about. Not that it mattered in the end.
