That is terrible to hear. Strangely enough, I spent my last two hours at school today in a grant writing team meeting as we tried to put together our application for a big "Safe Schools" federal grant.
I felt the change

Time meant nothing and never would again

Our state legislature is wrestling with a bill that would allow college students to carry firearms in their vehicles on campus - something which is currently prohibited by the various universities' rules. The sponsor of the bill pointed to the Virginia Tech killings as a reason for this bill; I'm sure it will become more fodder for his rhetorical cannon.
