WWTBAM Bored

I woke up this morning to a broken coffee maker. Because of other obligations, I could not get to WalMart to buy another one until a short while ago. I now have coffee again. Life is much better this way.

So now I'm sewing on a puppet. I'd glued him earlier in the week, but some of his bits didn't remain sufficiently secured. He's a lawyer. I've named him Louie. The last time I was motivated to create a puppet I was in the Girl Scouts.

And you are making this puppet now for what reason?

Good thing you got your coffee. Sewing while shaking is dangerous.

He is not wearing seersucker, and no voodoo is involved. If I were a lawyer named Louie, or anything similar that might be pronounced that way, I would consider myself the recipient of a compliment.

Coffee is so important in my house that I always have a new, unopened coffee maker in the cabinet.

Coffee is more important to me than peanuts.

One alternative is to keep an inexpensive French Press in the cabinet. It requires nothing but boiling water and ground coffee and you will have coffee in just a few minutes. It's not a whole pot of coffee, but will certainly get you through that caffeine emergency.

I use one because I'm the only coffee drinker and I only drink two cups in the morning, so it works out just right for me.

We have two of these in our house...don't even own a drip machine anymore. I think the coffee is better from the french press, not that I've had much lately. The paper filters remove a lot of the flavorful oils.

We have two in case there are guests, but I did see a REALLY LARGE (12 cups) french press recently in some funky kitchen gadget store. It even had a slide thingy in the press so that you could stop the brewing process without having to pour it out.

I love my french press. It makes the perfect amount of coffee for me since I am the only one in the house who drinks coffee. I like strong coffee too and I think my french press makes stronger coffee than a regular coffee maker. They don't take up much space either. This is the one I have.

Sister! Mine's in the garage--I have to rethink owning three crockpots, which take up too much room, but when you have a batch of chili and a batch of wings at the same time, it's a Good Thing. I also keep the ones where only the carafe is broken, thinking I might just replace the carafe. And you always keep the cone filters, just in case the new coffee maker isn't the basket type.

It's gone beyond an addiction, I know....

Yeah, but Folger's isn't coffee! Maybe Folger's Concentrated? We grind our beans to a fine powder for maximum flavor and caffeination....
