One of my credit cards was fraudulently used again

About an hour ago I received a phone call from Bank of America's fraud department alerting me that my debit card had been suspiciously used and suspended. When I got home and checked I found that there were five different charges for online dating sites tonight. Three weeks ago I had the same thing happen with one of my Chase Visa cards. We never use the debit card for purchases.

Is anyone aware of else who has had their cards fraudulently used at online dating sites? It seems strange to me that anyone would use them for a dating site as the accounts would be suspended as soon as the charges were reversed.

Yeah, but I still got 6 dates before they suspended them.

Out of curiosity, did you report the card as stolen before or after your wife found out about these dating service memberships?

I check my cards usage every day (on-line).

I have been called by the company more than a few times and each time it was either me or Sting buying the unusual stuff.

They have also cut it off when we have traveled out of state.

I'd just make sure it wasn't used for interspecies dating....

One of my card numbers was stolen a few years ago - not the card, just the number. We figured out that somebody must have gone through the trash at PepBoys since at the time their CC process still used the old fashioned multi-carbon paperwork. Everything purchased with the number was an on-line purchase. There would be nothing unusual with on-line dating services getting paid via a card number only.

Ours wasn't used for on-line dating but an unusual combination of on-line porn and downloaded ice skating videos.
