Wow, Uly! You got really close to the mirror to take your self-portrait this time.

My lovely husband went out and bought candy (Godiva) and flowers for me and the girls. We were very surprised! He is such a sweetie.

You know, they make a cream for that now. I hear Valtrex works good, too.

Sorry, I couldn't resist.

There's something downright unnatural about Valentine's Day occurring during Lent - all those folks who gave up sweets for Lent have to deal with increased temptation.

Lucky for us, we don't observe Lent. Did you give sweets for Lent?

I gave my husband some lovely gourmet pork (bacon) for the holiday. He's a Jew, but loves his pork. :)

(That just sounds so nasty.)

You're the one that pointed out the Albertson's flyer yesterday...

I know...

I had already ordered the bacon for him.

I thought that it was strange that others found pork to be a Valentine's Day treat. I guess that I am not as quirky as I thought.

Well, let's not go jumping to conclusions here.

:)

Do we get to take a vote?

No, but not because of Lent (elwing doesn't observe Lent). It's because we're both trying to lose weight in preparation for our cruises later this year and chocolates seem somewhat counter to that objective.
