Abra Belke
Washington, DC

Abra is a Montana native who now lives in Washington, DC. Once upon a time, she was a neighbor of Barack Obama's. Meredith says Belke is also a former beauty queen and writes a blog about fashion.

Abra: There's no such thing as a former beauty queen, Meredith.

About fashion, Abra says that the girls in DC are different: they wear white sneakers and white socks under their business suits and she's trying to fix that.

Abra has $40,500 in her bank, with one Jump The Question lifeline left.

I'm pretty sure I've seen it before, and it seemed more likely than the other three choices. Other correct answers could have included shooting pool, playing football, having car trouble, and riding a goat in a Masonic ritual.

It's unfortunate that the contestant was willing to proclaim these paintings "ugly," despite never seeing them. Here's the full set:

Here's an article about Abra' appearance.

http://www.politico.com/news/stories/1111/68081.html
During our earlier interview with Belke, she said she still had over $80,000 in student loan debt, meaning that her take home winnings from “Millionaire” will help put a serious dent in that amount.
BTW, reading the comments to this article, it appears that game show posts are definitely not considered on-topic on Politico!

(Actually she said that she lived in the same apartment building as Obama - presumably when he was a senator.)

Here's an answer, though I can't vouch for it. The company simply thought kids were getting tired of Lucky. According to the linked site, the company got cold feet even though the replacement appeared to be a success. --Bob
