#1 Post by PlacentiaSoccerMom » Wed Feb 13, 2008 4:00 pm

Maddie and I applied for her passport on January 31st and I got it in the mail today.

Wow! It took six weeks for me to get my passport.

That's amazing! I wonder if they've finally gotten through the backlog that's been plaguing them lately?

Do you print it yourself, like a boarding pass?

I turned in my application on 12/13 and received my passport on New Year's Eve, despite the rush of the holidays.

My dentist told me yesterday that he applied on Friday, 2/01, and received his on 2/11.

If you're willing to pay, you can get one in 24 hours, not including the 'overnight' shipping to and fro.

That sucks. I just checked Maddie's, everything is spelled correctly.

Mine was an obvious typo--they substituted adjacent letters on the keyboard.

The sad thing is that my kid is going to have to live with the photo until she is 19. She has braces in the photo and will get them taken off next year.

We were reluctant to turn in Mini-me's for renewal, because the picture was taken when he was 18 months old! But they returned it with the new one.

When Sting got his, his birthdate was wrong.

Good thing he has me, otherwise it would still have the wrong birthdate on it.
