Have a great day with many happy returns!
It's also a birthday for Reeg2223 and rebel2001NYC, but I don't remember seeing them since we moved over here, so we send greetings in absentia.

I didn't even put myself on the birthday list.... Jai did.
If I worked tonight, I'd light all the candles in the air freshener aisle for you, but I guess I'll have to just ask the slag plant down the street to stoke their fire a bit higher instead...

Can't remember whether you're a few years younger or a few years older than my Wendy -- is this one a milestone for you, by any chance?
And a very happy happy year to come for the Mini household.
Greyhound dude, not trying to leave you out -- just don't know you as well. Happy birthday to you, too!

Well, I suppose it may be a milestone in that it's the only way I'll ever be described as a 44......

They are, indeed. My problem is not that I don't know the date of their birthdays, but that I was mistaken about today's date. I apologize for jumping the gun, but birthday wishes have no expiration date.

Is there an Oscar pool this year?

Ah, so you're almost exactly halfway between us.
Wait, that didn't sound right.....

I read the whole thread and still don't know who has a birthday today, if anyone. I'll just add my birthday wishes along with the others.

I will take blame for the confusion, Kay. I woke up thinking today was Feb. 14 (largely because somebody gave me a valentine yesterday.) So, I jumped the gun by one day when I started this thread. Today is the birthday of Mini's husband (according to lb,) but Mini, Greyhound Dude, Reeg and Rebel will celebrate tomorrow.
Yes, I now realize that it says "Wednesday, Feb. 13" dozens of times on the page that lists all the threads. Apparently I don't normally read all the way to the right side of the page.

Doesn't bother me one bit and I'm sure it doesn't bother the birthday people either.
We've got them covered, day early or day late, matters not.

Now I'll add my Happy Birthday wishes for our Valentines Day BBs.

I got an unexpected present this morning--the gift of relaxation!
No, my husband didn't get up and get the kids off to school for me--the emergency notification system called me at 5:45 to say the schools would be delayed two hours, so I looked out and saw we had a light dusting of snow overnight. But a few weeks ago the roads were unexpectedly icy and it took 45 minutes to get to school, so this was just an abundance of caution.
The totally screwy part is that it was 70 yesterday and will be 63 tomorrow....

OMG, a light dusting of snow!!! And they activated the Reverse 911 system for that!!!
Has the governor called out the National Guard yet?

It's not the Reverse 911--my oldest son goes to a private school that follows the public schools' closures, so they have a smaller database for personal notification.
The funny thing is my sister called to say she was passing the high school and all the cars and buses were just arriving, and what was up with that. She's childless, so she would have an excuse not to know.
Except her husband is the Director of Emergency Communications for the city. Sheesh! But she said she hadn't seen him all morning. Guess he was busy....

Okay.
I guess snow is such a rare event in your neck of the woods that nobody would know how to tune in the local radio station to listen for school cancellations? It's what every schoolchild lives for, up here!

I've told my kids numerous times that when it says snow, they don't mean us! Maybe Williamsburg or Suffolk. So get that homework done. There will be no
deus ex machina...[/i]
