Maybe she will be calmed down and be able to think.

I hope she is and she can.

What an understatement! Every other word seemed to be "Absolutely!" and she had what I called "terminal perkiness".

elwing said she would have had to ATA on this one.

So she's a WE/WE®.

And why isn't it .ch? Because that domain suffix belongs to Switzerland, standing for "Confederation Helvetia".

I guess this was an easy one for me because I used to buy furniture for government offices. I didn't buy sofas, but did buy a lot of credenzas.

BBTranscriptTeam wrote:Toni will return on tomorrow's show.

I hope she's toned it down a notch.

That makes one of us, Toni...

$100

C: Moby Dick D: Zoo-lysses

$200

Because many of his movies have been shot there, Woody Allen is often closely identified with what U.S. city?

A: Baltimore B: New York City
C: Houston D: Seattle

See! Would someone associated with Cleveland, or Minneapolis, or Flagstaff have gotten a question in the first tier?

$500
Which of these circus performers is often referred to as a "human pretzel"?

A: Lion tamer B: Tightrope walker
C: Juggler D: Contortionist

$1,000
As an audience member at a sporting event, participating in "the wave" requires you to perform which of these actions?

A: Shake your head B: Stomp your feet
C: Raise your arms D: Clap your hands

The wave had long been the most annoying thing to ever take place at a baseball game. Amazingly, however, someone moronic dope came up with the even more annoying Kiss Cam...

Toni: The wave goes something like this, RAISE YOUR ARMS, FINAL ANSWER!

I've always wanted to punch someone in the gut while they've got their arms raised above their head doing the wave. That time has come...

Meredith prompts the audience to do the wave as we go to...

I haven't got to make a snide comment about Mere since we moved here. That time has come to...

Sit in that chair and just ask the damn questions you airheaded broad!

Meredith: You are a bartender, but you are also a phenominal singer--don't say you're not--
you performed at Carnegie Hall, with Paul McCartney. Excuse me, hello!

Oooh, that's really impressive. My guess is that a lot of people have been onstage with Paul McCartney who don't have a lick of singing talent. Ringo comes to mind...

Toni has written a song about Millionaire.

It's not often that both me and my spokesman double over in pain at the same time, but this seems to be a stack full of firsts...

Toni: Just a little song. Would you mind? I'll sing it for you.

Meredith: I'd love to hear.

We all knew you'd love to hear it Mere, but what about the poor suffering audience. Hook that AOL poll back up and see how high the bar for "Hell, NO!" goes up...

Toni: [singing]:
This girl in front of you has dreams.
A million colored all in green.
You asked who-oo-oo-oo wants to be a millionaire?
I do!

I hated the song before she even sung it, but even with that bias, believe me when I say that was the stupidest song I have heard in my entire life. Really, that was just a bunch of nonsense strung together. I don't like to start rooting against the contestants before they start flubbing up easy questions, but this is one of those cases where I have no choice after that full frontal assault on music history....

$2,000
Draw Two, Skip and Reverse are three types of cards featured in what classic card game?

A: Old Maid B: Uno
C: Rummy D: Go Fish

Great game, but not quite as great as the 9/11 casualty Boom-O was....

$4,000
If your doctor prescribes you a transdermal medication, your treatment will most likely involve which of the following?

A: Popping a pill B: Inhaling a vapor
C: Putting drops in your eyes D: Wearing an adhesive patch

The only reason your doctor would prescribe you an adhesive patch is in the hopes that you would put it over your mouth...

$8,000
What Internet domain suffix is used to represent Web sites based in the world's most populous country?

A: .cn B: .ru
C: .jp D: .br

ATA: A: 72% B: 8% C: 18% D: 2%

Just going to any .cn sites exposes you to harmful levels of lead. Not quite the dose Toni got, but near fatal levels...

Meredith: Pretty good number.

Toni: It is a pretty good number. I only wish I knew what the .cn--China. Probably China. PROBABLY CHINA! I'M GONNA GO A, FINAL ANSWER! WITH THE AUDIENCE, A, FINAL ANSWER, PROBABLY CHINA!

Oh my friggin' God, what the hell is wrong with this chick? She's starting to make the cackling lady from a couple seasons ago look reserved. I may not have just been taking a potshot when I said she was exposes to way too much lead in her formative years. Combine this babbling outburst with that nonsense song she thought was very clever, and I'd have to take a guess her IQ is really below the freezing point....

$16,000
Which of these pieces of furniture is not a type of sofa?

A: Divan B: Settee
C: Credenza D: Chesterfield

Toni doesn't know credenza and chesterfield.

Credenza was a character on Seinfeld, and Chesterfield was a cigarette brand. Sheesh...

PAF: Toni calls her friend, Saul. She repeats the question and answer twice.

Toni: Fifteen seconds. Not a type of sofa. Can you tell me something that you know aren't sofas?

Well, since you asked Toni, a Rickenbacker is not a type of sofa. A denouement is not a type of sofa. An alakazam is not a type of sofa. I can go on and on, Toni, but not in the 30 seconds you have to make this totally unneccessary phone call...

Saul: Uh, I believe credenza is not a type of sofa.

Toni: Okay, thank you.

Toni says Saul is a very smart man. She still questions what a chesterfield is.

It's not the place of ibeciles to question smart men. Assuming that comparison is not just relative, that is...

50/50 leaves A & C.

Toni: Okay, I think I'm going to C, credenza is not a type of sofa. C, credenza is not a type of sofa.

Meredith: One of them.

Toni: It is! Well, let's do C, credenza, final answer.

What answer did she pick again? I don't think she made herself perfectly clear which choice she wanted. Is she on one of those sleep medications that cause temporary amnesia or something? I usually only allow someone to repeat something half a time before I slap them across the face. And given her tendency to be redundantly redundant, I'm pretty sure it was not Paul McCartney she was actually on stage with, but John Lennon instead...

Toni will return on tomorrow's show.

That means that Toni's caretakers in the white coats will have to stick around even longer now. Poor guys don't get paid nearly enough for their thankless job....

2K: Only got it because I could eliminate the other 3. Never played Uno.

16K: Kayge Baker (I gotta look up the name) has those novels of the organization that sends people back in time to hide stuff so the current day organization can "find" them in which Mendoza, one of the time-travelling agents, is in appropriate eras sitting at her "credenza", which is actually a high tech computer console disguised as an old writing desk. Its about the only way I know "credenza" means desk.

But I could also rule out divan & settee on my own, as well as chesterfield, though I was a little iffier about that one.
