stoopid Jericho thread

Well somebody had to start it!

Unfortunately I have nothing to say since I didn't watch it. It is on my DVR and I hope to view it this evening. But from the previews it seems that there's a new sheriff in town, by which I mean a new "federal" government.

Yes, it was - but it was aired at 10PM, which is past my bedtime, hence the DVR.

It's bad enough than all the shows had to be disrupted by the writers' strike, but they have to confuse us more by shifting around the nights and times we're familiar with? Jericho moves to 10 pm, Lost moves from Wednesday to Thursday... :?

From the early Neilsens from metered markets, everyone else forgot it was on too. Lowest rating ever.

I watched it, glad that it is back, they obviously picked up where they left off and are moving at an accelerated pace. From what I've read they are putting 22 episodes worth of story into 7 actual episodes.

I recorded it too.

Check your On Demand, Marley. Jericho was on Comcast On Demand last season- it may very well be on this season as well.

They better damn well jam 22 episodes worth of story into 7, because the way they're handling it, those early ratings will probably only go down.

I almost forgot it was on last night, too.

I'll see what Time Warner has. I've never once checked their Free On Demand service--and I'm not about to pay for a Movie On Demand.

If that fails, the network might have the episode on the web, like they did for the first season.

Yes, it's available at CBS' Web site:

In these parts, it is being replayed on Saturday at 8:00.

I chose not to tape last night and will watch 'live' on Saturday night.

Good!

This thread isn't complete without your comments. You gave the thread its title, after all! 8)

OK, thanks to bad weather our Wednesday church services were cancelled so I got a chance to watch the show sooner than I thought.

1. The show made pretty good sense, picking up the story four weeks later than the last one, then showing what happened during the flashbacks.

2. The explanation for the flag seemed a little weak to me - I would think that whoever was in charge would believe that he was in charge of the entire US, not just the western states.

3. The army uniforms still say "U.S. Army" on the pocket patch, but they have very nice new flag patches for the sleeves. It seems to me that a country trying to put itself back together would have better things to do than have a factory to embroider new patches.

4. Isn't Columbus the city that Hawkins was supposed to go to with his bomb?

Time Warner doesn't have an On Demand channel for the major networks, so I watched the episode on the web.

1. The recap was good, but it unestimated the consequences of the attack on the nation, just as they've been doing on the local level in Jericho. That propaganda news broadcast said, IIRC, that there had been 15 million dead and 40 million homeless from the attack. Perhaps 15 million from the blasts alone might have been accurate, but the subsequent casualties from the disruptions that followed--famine, disease, violence--would have been multiples of that.

2. & 3. Agreed. Although they seem to be setting things in order awfully easily, now that the Army has moved into town. Including that slick private firm that was negotiating those contracts to resolve outstanding tax liens.

4. Yes.

I was getting pretty impatient with Jake acting as the petulant vigilante. "My father was killed!" Yeah, so were 15(+) million, if you hadn't noticed, Jake.

How many episodes before Hawkins is backstabbed by his newly arrived covert teammate?

1. What is with Jake's new teeth? If he had them last season, they did not distract me like they did this season.

2. Baloney that all of the changes could have taken place in 4 weeks. People would still be upset, angry, distrustful. No way J&R would be able to do what they did in just 4 weeks.

3. Where is the deaf sister (and the boyfriend)? Why have the mom 'on the ranch'?

4. Not liking that guy with the hispanic name - don't trust him and don't think Hawkins should either.

5. How can they expect me to believe that Eric would finally grow a set and try to do something like take revenge for his dad's death?

6. I do like the government guy - I think he is the kind of guy they need in Iraq.

Won't be watching this live any more - 10:00PM? Is that is permanent time slot?

So it would seem since that's when it airs tonight. But there are only five more episodes, anyway, so it won't be long.

I decided to tape it and then make sure we watch it the next day, so I can be current and participate in the Stoopid Jericho thread.

Of course, now that Hawkin's wife is in on his secret and on board with what he's doing, what will you have to comment on? 8)
