Pretty racy for CindyBAM! I bet Harry Sachs would have known the answer...

I am guessing he didn't recall the "codpiece" from Shakespeare's day. A bit like the "cup" in sports except that the codpiece was more a decorative fashion statement then protective equipment.

you guys crack me up.

Back in my fanny-packin' days, (yes, I sported a fanny-pack regularly. For many, many years - gotta problem with that? lol - until I just started "needing" to carry around way much more crap than would fit in it), my best friend teased me frequently about my "codpiece." Yet I didn't make the connection either. :? I was sorta leaning toward "Haddock" - as I think they used that word on some other recent BAM~Q...

Obviously not every teacher felt that way, right Nancy?

First off, how do you "invent" DST? Second, wasn't the idea first suggested by Benjamin Franklin? (Quick check: Wikipedia says that Franklin didn't actually suggest it; he wrote about Parisians saving money by rising earlier to use available daylight.) Given that I thought it was Franklin's idea I might have gone with "stopwatch".
