The pissitude has passed.
To Life in general.
FSIL's leave was denied. The Army had lost the paperwork. For the second time. I had forgotten about the first time. He and an advocate (Chaplain? Immediate superior? Not sure.) went around getting the signatures yesterday, and the last person on the list told him "I'm not signing this." We do not have a reason, not that the Army needs one or thinks you deserve one. So much for engagement photos. BD drove home from work in tears, and the rest of the evening didn't improve. FSIL will apply again to get leave whenever he can. He can't apply for leave for the wedding period until three months before. GW has already been worrying about the possibility that he won't be able to get here then. This doesn't help.
BD will be going to visit some friends this weekend, a plan that was tentatively in the works when the leave permission kept getting delayed and this situation became possible. Not what she'd wanted, but at least she'll be able to vent to her friends. I just hope that all this crap beforehand bodes well for the actual event and subsequent marital bliss. Get it all out of the way early, so to speak.
Yesterday was also our 29B anniversary. Two ceremonies about two months apart, hence the B. With what happened, it's just as well we had nothing planned. Not exactly the happiest of anniversaries, though.
I will write about further Big Day decisions tomorrow. I had either a cold or a major allergy attack that kept me up for three hours in the middle of the night. I feel like my eyeballs are protruding like Marty Feldman's. Later, crew.
