I knocked a glass of red wine off my night stand tonight. It splattered all over the carpet. I put some undiluted Oxi Clean powder on it and left it on for an hour, vacuumed it up and the stains are completely gone

It IS versatile!

The next test will be cat byproducts.

I have a stain that I made disappear the same way.

Four days later, it was back.

I keep playing the hide and seek game with that darn stain.

I heard to use white wine to remove red wine. I just got rid of all carpeting on the ground floor because I got tired of scrubbing it all the *&^%$ time. Now if the kids wouldn't drink chocolate milk when they felt ill, I could stop scrubbing regurgitated chocolate milk out of the upstairs hall carpet...

Mine was the grease variety - that might make a difference.

Darn contract workers and their dirty boots.

I always heard that club soda was the way to go to remove wine stains. Never had the chance to try it and have never had a wine stain on carpet.
I hope the Oxi Clean works, even if Billy Mays is the most annoying person on TV.
