They're actually "Somos Novios" and "J'ai le mal de toi". They're not the same to my ears.

The lyrics are indeed different. There is a major theme in the chorus that is the same, to me.

I was talking about the music, not the lyrics.

I just looked at the lyrics.

There is? Please explain.

Maybe I looked at the wrong ones...

How 'bout Billy Joels's "My Life" and one of those songs from one of the Disney movies. (Maybe "Trashin the Camp" from Tarzan.)

First we have to get the tunes in your head.

In "The Way of Love," there is a sung line "For the way of love/is a way of woe/And the day may come/when you'll see him go" etc. Have you got it in your head?

Dah-duh-dadada, dah-duh-dadada

Now listen to "It's Impossible"'s chorus in your head. "It's impossible/tell the sun to leave the sky/it's just impossible" etc.

Dah-duh-dadada, dah-duh-dadada

Same tune, for most of the chorus.

I'm with ya on this one, Skoop. The melodies are very similar. In fact, the melody line for the titles of each song is identical.

Thanks. This was the sort of research I was hoping for. I used to compare and research the melody names in the hymnal, but have a harder time finding that stuff on websites.
