top o' the mornin'®

#1 Post by earendel » Wed Feb 06, 2008 6:41 am

Another wild night of weather resulted in my being late to work this morning. After I went to bed we lost power and my alarm clock started blinking 12:00. elwing reset it before she went to bed, but the power evidently went off again after that because I woke up this morning at 6:30 with the clock blinking again.

Strong lightning knocked out my power briefly at about 1 AM. Around that time, a tornado warning was issued for Franklin County, so I had to get out of bed (which lays under a window). Thankfully, no damage was done to my building. The tornado was reported on the opposite side of the county.

We all have battery operated alarm clocks. They are about $7.00 at your local discount store. Since they are not plugged in, you can throw them if you really need to sleep.
